About John

I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families.  The last 10 years I have worked as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.   It is important to me to continuously learn and grow as a therapist.

In 2016 I completed the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy’s Certificate year-long immersion program.  In addition, I have a meditation practice and study the application of mindfulness in my daily life. This study and practice help me immensely personally and helps me grow professionally.

I am an amateur photographer, love walking my dog in the woods, and have just started to play the guitar.  Over the years I have developed an interest in backpacking, hiking, and wilderness/nature meditation.  Experiencing nature is a life balance tool that has helped me better manage life’s ups and downs.  I have thru hiked the Long Trail in Vermont and section hiked the COHOS trail in New Hampshire.  I aspire to hike the John Muir Trail in California someday soon.
